British Thorntons in Canada

Some people want a chocolate bar. Others want something they can hand over at the door, or quietly keep in the cupboard for the kind of evening that calls for a proper treat. This small collection of Thorntons is for both. It brings together three British favourites: Thorntons Chewy Toffee Carton, Thorntons Vanilla Fudge Carton and Thorntons Continental. It is a short list, but every item is the sort of thing people tend to look for by name. Whether you grew up with Thorntons on the high street or you are only now finding out why people back home make a fuss about it, this page keeps it simple and ships it to you from right here in Canada.

Toffee and fudge, the old-fashioned way

The 150g cartons are where a lot of people start. The Thorntons Chewy Toffee Carton is for anyone who likes a toffee that takes its time and asks you to commit. The Thorntons Vanilla Fudge Carton is the softer, sweeter option, the kind you open with good intentions about saving some for later. Both come in tidy cartons that sit well in a drawer, a desk or a stocking. They also make an easy addition to a bigger order, so you can tuck one in alongside your biscuits, crisps and chocolate without much thought.

Thorntons Continental for sharing, gifting or neither

Thorntons Continental, in a 131g box, is the one that feels most like an occasion. It is a box of chocolates rather than a bag of sweets, which makes it a natural choice for birthdays, thank-yous, hostess gifts or a visit to someone who misses a bit of Britain. It also works perfectly well as a box you buy for yourself and decide not to mention. If you are after a British gift that looks like you made an effort, this is a sensible place to begin.

Thorntons shipped across Canada

Finding Thorntons in Canada is not always straightforward. That is why it helps to have the toffee, fudge and Continental box together in one place, shipped from Canada by The Great British Shop. Orders head out across the country, from Halifax and Dartmouth to Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, Kitchener, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria, Moncton, Saint John and St. John’s. You might be topping up a personal stash, sending a box to family or building a larger order of British groceries. Either way, this collection makes it easy to get a bit of Thorntons delivered without the hunt.
