Canada's Top Reviewed British Shop
For gravy emergencies, chip-shop cravings, and people who like dinner sorted without theatrics.
Goldenfry is rarely an impulse buy. People come looking for it because a roast is planned, chips are on the go, or someone in the house will absolutely notice if the gravy is wrong. Reasonable, really.
These are the packets and tubs that get used, not admired. A gravy in the pantry, curry sauce in reserve, batter mix tucked away for later; it is the sort of brand that quietly saves dinner from being a bit flat. Worth keeping a few in before you need them.
Goldenfry Chip Shop Curry Sauce and Batter Mix have different responsibilities, despite both taking an interest in dinner. Dumpling Mix and the gravy choices extend the committee. Start with the meal you are actually making; the packet instructions can handle the part that follows.
Goldenfry is one of those British pantry brands people tend to buy with intent. Usually because dinner is already underway and somebody has realised the gravy situation was handled with optimism rather than planning. This collection brings together the Goldenfry staples people actually look for, including beef gravy granules, chicken gravy, onion gravy, chip shop curry sauce, chip shop batter mix, Yorkshire pudding & pancake mix, cornflour and cheese sauce. It is a practical range for roast dinners, sausage and mash, fish nights, quick midweek teas and the occasional plate that needs rescuing in under ten minutes.
If you came here for gravy, fair enough. Goldenfry beef, chicken and onion gravy are the clear anchors, but the rest of the range earns its place too. The curry sauce has proper chip-shop energy, the batter mix helps with fish, chicken or whatever is getting fried, and the Yorkshire pudding mix is there for people who want the result without turning it into a personal challenge. Cornflour and cheese sauce round things out nicely for cooks who appreciate a few dependable shortcuts.
We ship British groceries from within Canada, so whether you are ordering to Halifax, Dartmouth or Bedford, or topping up a bigger pantry order going to Ottawa, Mississauga, Kitchener or Saint John, this collection is easy to shop online. We also regularly send orders heading west to Calgary, Vancouver, Victoria and Winnipeg, along with plenty of smaller places where gravy granules are treated with the seriousness they deserve. It is not flashy. It is just genuinely useful, which tends to matter more.
Some brand collections are just a logo with a random pile of products underneath. This one makes sense. Goldenfry items are usually bought for a reason and used properly: gravy for roasts, curry sauce for chips, batter mix for Friday-night fish, Yorkshire pudding mix for the bit that makes the plate look more thought-through than it really was. If you are after British sauces, gravies and cooking mixes in Canada, this is a solid place to start and an easy one to stock up from when the usual favourites run low.
