Chocolate usually gets the early attention, and fairly enough. Newer lines like Galaxy Salted Caramel, Dairy Milk Golden Crisp and Cadbury Milk Chocolate Cake Bars tend to be the first products customers click on. Then come the biscuit and cake arrivals, including McVitie’s Tasties Bourbon Creams, Jacob’s Cheddars and a solid run of Mr Kipling favourites such as Cherry Bakewells, Jam Tarts, Fruit Pies and sponge puddings in sticky toffee, raspberry, lemon and golden syrup.
This collection works because it is not too neat. New British groceries in Canada do not arrive in perfectly behaved categories, and that is part of the appeal.
