About Cadbury Heroes Tub

The tub on the coffee table. The hand that goes back in. The Twirl you were definitely saving for later.

Heroes brings together nine little Cadbury favourites in a 475g sharing tub. Pass it round after Christmas dinner, put the kettle on, and pretend you are only having one.

If you grew up in Britain, you do not need the Heroes tub explained. The purple lid comes off, the tub goes round, and the room sorts itself into the Twirl people, the Wispa people and the one person who goes straight for the Eclairs. That is the whole product. Nine Cadbury bars you already love, made small enough that you can have three and call it one.

Inside the 475g tub: Twirl, the flaky one with the coat on. Wispa, the bubbly one that came back from the dead. Dairy Milk, the chunk that needs no introduction. Dairy Milk Caramel, for the people who want the Dairy Milk with something in it. Fudge, the little finger of it. Crunchie Bits, the honeycomb. The Dinky Decker, a Double Decker at Christmas size. The Creme Egg Twisted, which is the only place the Creme Egg centre turns up in December. And the Eclairs, the chewy toffee with the Dairy Milk inside, full size, which nobody at Cadbury has ever managed to take out.

This is the UK tub, made by Cadbury for Britain and brought over sealed. It is not the Cadbury you find in a Canadian supermarket, and if you have ever tried to explain the difference to someone who has not had both, you will know why we bother. It tastes like the one from home because it is the one from home.

We sell it from our shop in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and we post it anywhere in Canada. Buy one sealed, exactly as it left the shelf, or buy two or more and let us pack them for the post: the empty tubs nested inside each other, every wrapped chocolate packed in around them, one box. You tip them back in at home and the coffee table looks the way it should.

Good questions

Before you pop
the kettle on.

What is a Dinky Decker?

A miniature Double Decker: nougat on top, crispy cereal underneath, milk chocolate round it. It joined the tub in 2019. The pack warns that this one may contain peanuts, nuts and wheat.

Does Heroes contain nuts or gluten?

The pack says all units may contain nuts, and the Dinky Decker may contain peanuts, nuts and wheat. Barley malt extract is in the ingredients, so it is not gluten-free.

Is this the Cadbury from the UK?

Yes. This is the UK Cadbury Heroes tub, imported for our shop in Canada.

Will my chocolates arrive unwrapped?

No. Every chocolate stays in its own wrapper, exactly as it came out of the tub. Packed for the post means we open the tubs, nest the empty tubs inside each other and pack the wrapped chocolates in around them so they fill the gaps. You tip them back into the tubs at home.

Do I still get the tubs and lids?

Yes. Every tub and every lid comes with your order, nested inside each other. The only thing that changes is how much air we post across Canada.

Can I mix different tubs?

Yes. Celebrations, Cadbury Heroes and Cadbury Roses nest, so mix them however you like: two, three or more. Quality Street's tub is a different shape, so it packs only with other Quality Street tubs: two, three or four together.

Why is the sealed option more expensive?

Sealed tubs take up more room. Opened and nested packing reduces the space used by the empty tubs. See the purchase options above for prices; shipping is calculated at checkout.

Is this the UK tub?

Yes. The same tub that sits on a British supermarket shelf, imported sealed and sold from our shop in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Not a Canadian or American version.

How long does it keep?

Check the best-before date printed on your tub. Store it in a cool, dry place away from heat.

Is it suitable for vegetarians?

Yes, all four tubs say suitable for vegetarians on the pack. None of them is vegan; they all contain milk.

The story of Cadbury Heroes

By Aaron A.

Heroes brings familiar Cadbury chocolates together in miniature. Rather than learning a whole new selection of centres, you can look for the bars you already know: Twirl, Wispa, Dairy Milk and more. That is the appeal of the purple tub on the coffee table.

Some of those names have long histories. Cadbury launched Dairy Milk in 1905. Wispa launched nationally in 1983 after a regional trial, disappeared in 2003, and returned after a campaign by its fans. These are stories from Cadbury’s own timeline, carried into a sharing tub.

This 475g selection has nine varieties, from chewy Eclairs and Fudge to Crunchie Bits and Dinky Decker. There is no need to agree on a winner before opening it. Pass it round, pick yours, and use the vote on this page to tell us which one you favour.

We import the UK tub and sell it from our shop in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Choose sealed tubs for gifting, or opened and nested tubs for packing. The chocolates keep their individual wrappers, and the tubs and lids come with them, ready to refill at home.
