About Diddly Squat Farm Dunkers Honey & Oat Biscuits

About Diddly Squat Farm Dunkers Honey & Oat Biscuits

Jeremy Clarkson spent several series of television proving that farming is mostly mud, weather and things going wrong. These are one of the bits that went right.

Diddly Squat Farm Dunkers Honey & Oat Biscuits come from the Cotswolds farm everyone now knows from Clarkson's Farm, and the name tells you the job: into the tea, out again, before the structural engineering gives way.

Honey and oat is a proper biscuit-tin flavour, and there is extra fun in eating something from a farm you have watched Kaleb shout across.

Put the kettle on. Count the biscuits. Count them again later, and ask who has been at them.

Frequently asked questions about Diddly Squat Farm Dunkers Honey & Oat Biscuits

Q: Is this the real UK version?

A: Yes, these are the British Diddly Squat Farm biscuits, brought over from the UK and shipped to you from within Canada. Same packet you would see on the shelf back home.

Q: Is this the Diddly Squat Farm from Clarkson's Farm?

A: It is. Diddly Squat is Jeremy Clarkson's farm in the Cotswolds, the one from the television series, and these biscuits carry its name.

Q: Would they make a good gift?

A: For anyone who has binge-watched Clarkson's Farm, very much so. Pair them with a box of British tea and you have a present that gets opened and eaten the same afternoon.

Q: How big is the packet?

A: It is a 180g packet. Enough for a few good tea breaks, or one very honest one.

More about Diddly Squat Farm Dunkers Honey & Oat Biscuits

The oat biscuit has always had a steady place in the British tea break, the sturdy one in the tin that can survive a dunk where flimsier biscuits sink without trace. Honey and oat is the comfortable, everyday end of that family, the sort of biscuit that goes with a mug of builder's tea at eleven o'clock.

Plenty of people in Canada have watched every episode of Clarkson's Farm and seen the queues outside the farm shop near Chipping Norton. Popping in is a long way to go for a biscuit, so this is the next best thing: a packet with the Diddly Squat name on it, in your own kitchen.

It is a 180g packet that lives happily in the cupboard alongside the tea bags. Once it is open, fold the top over or tip the biscuits into a tin so they stay crisp. Dunking technique is your own business, though two seconds is generally considered brave.

Most people pair these with a box of proper British tea, and fans of the show tend to pick them up as a present for whoever in the family has been quoting Kaleb all year.

The story of Diddly Squat Farm Dunkers Honey & Oat Biscuits

The farm you watched from the sofa

Of all the farms in Britain, this is the one you have probably watched from the sofa, wincing. Diddly Squat Farm Dunkers carry the name of Jeremy Clarkson's farm near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, and the name on the packet tells you the job: honey and oat, and made to meet a mug of tea. Put the kettle on. Open the packet. Try not to quote the series between dunks.

A thousand acres of not much

Jeremy Clarkson bought about a thousand acres near Chipping Norton in 2008, land that was formerly part of the Sarsden estate. A local villager contract-farmed it until he retired in 2019, and then Clarkson started farming it himself. He named it Diddly Squat, slang for the least amount, or nothing at all, on account of how little it produced. Honest, at least. Then the Amazon Prime Video series Clarkson's Farm made it known well beyond Oxfordshire.

Forty tonnes of potatoes later

The Diddly Squat Farm Shop opened in 2020, started by Clarkson and Lisa Hogan. It was his idea, after he accidentally produced 40 tonnes of potatoes. You have to put them somewhere. The queues outside are famously long, and there was a two-month closure after a council dispute over the roofing material on the building. In 2024 Diddly Squat Farm Shop products went nationwide through Amazon Fresh, the first time they were sold on the UK high street.

The dunk, debated

There is a long-running argument in Britain about which biscuit survives a dunk, and everyone has a view. Yours is firm. Your dad's is louder. Everyone has lost half a biscuit to the bottom of a mug and fished it out with a teaspoon when nobody was looking. These will not settle the argument, but they will make a wet afternoon feel like home. And if anyone asks, they are from the farm with all the potatoes.
