British Aunty's in Canada

Some people miss Big Ben. Most people miss pudding. This collection brings together Aunty's puddings, the small, warm, sponge-based comfort that turns an ordinary weeknight into something closer to Sunday at your nan's. There are six to choose from: Sticky Toffee, Ginger Syrup, Chocolate Fudge, Strawberry, Golden Syrup and, of course, Spotted Dick, each in a 190g size. Whether you grew up with a pudding after every proper dinner or you are a Canadian wondering what all the fuss over a steamed sponge is about, this is a very easy place to start, and all of it ships from Canada by The Great British Shop.

Syrup, toffee and the classics people ask for by name

The sweeter, stickier end of the range is where most people head first. Aunty's Golden Syrup Pudding is the old-fashioned favourite, the sort of thing that sits comfortably next to a jug of custard and asks very little of anyone. Sticky Toffee Pudding is the one that tends to convert newcomers, while Ginger Syrup Pudding adds a bit of warmth for anyone who likes their dessert with a little more character. These are the puddings that get bought "for the cupboard" and somehow never make it past the week.

Spotted Dick, chocolate and strawberry for everyone else

Then there is Spotted Dick, the traditional British pudding whose name has been raising eyebrows and getting giggles for generations. It is a proper old-school classic and a good one to have in when someone at the table needs convincing that British food has a sense of humour. Aunty's Chocolate Fudge Pudding covers the chocolate crowd nicely, and Strawberry Pudding offers something a bit fruitier and lighter in spirit. Between the six, there is a fair chance everyone in the house ends up with a favourite and a strong opinion about it.

British puddings shipped across Canada

We ship across the country, so Aunty's puddings can head out to Toronto and Ottawa, Halifax and Dartmouth, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria, Winnipeg, Montréal, Kitchener, Moncton, Saint John and St. John's without you having to rely on a relative's suitcase. They sit nicely alongside custard, biscuits, tea and chocolate if you are building a bigger order, or you can simply pick up a few of each flavour so there is always something warm and familiar waiting at the end of a long, cold Canadian day.
