Thorntons Classic Milk, Dark & White Chocolate Box - 262g

In Britain, Thorntons is a proper high street name. It is the chocolate shop you nipped into when you needed a present in a hurry and wanted it to look like you had thought about it. A Thorntons box says you made an effort, even when you made it in about four minutes.

That is why people in Canada go looking for it. When you are invited round for dinner, saying thank you, or marking a birthday, it is the box you would have picked up at home, and nothing else feels quite like the right answer.

This is a 262g box with milk, dark and white chocolates together, which makes it a sharing box for a few people, or a long weekend for one. Keep it somewhere cool and dry, well away from a sunny windowsill, and it will sit happily in the cupboard until the right moment, or until someone finds it.

Thorntons is just as well known in Britain for its toffee and fudge, so if this box goes down well, those are the obvious next move. It also sits very comfortably next to a pot of proper British tea.
