Rowntree's Randoms Incredible Egg - 380g

Randoms have been a fixture of the British sweet aisle for years, the bag you grab when you cannot decide, because the bag decides for you. Every spring the sweet brands put out their own Easter eggs next to the chocolate ones, and the Randoms egg is the one for the jelly crowd.

Easter in Canada is lovely, but it is not always the Easter you remember. People search for this because a Randoms egg was part of their spring at home, and the name on the box matters as much as what is inside it.

It is a 380g egg, so a proper centrepiece rather than a token gesture. Keep it somewhere cool and dry, out of the sun, and it will sit happily in the cupboard until the big reveal. It works as the prize at the end of an egg hunt or the one everyone shares after lunch.

If the Easter basket needs company, Rowntree's is also the name behind Fruit Pastilles and Jelly Tots, both of which tend to disappear just as quickly.
