Cadbury Heros Tub - 600g

Heroes belongs to that very British institution, the Christmas tub: a big plastic drum of wrapped minis that appears in every supermarket from November. This is Cadbury's version, little versions of its own chocolate bars all mixed in together.

People in Canada go looking for it because a UK Christmas has a particular sound and taste, and the rustle of Heroes wrappers is part of both. It is also the Christmas gift for someone who misses home that needs no explanation at all.

The 600g tub is the proper sharing size, with a lid that goes back on (in theory). Keep it somewhere cool and dry, well away from the radiator, and it will see you from the tree going up to the Boxing Day cupboard raid. A handful also makes a decent stocking filler, if you can stop yourself.

It tends to travel with the rest of the Cadbury shelf: a bar of Dairy Milk for whoever claims they never touched the tub, plus a few other bits of British Christmas food to make the cupboard feel like home.
