Cadbury Freddo Faces Medium Egg - 122g

In Britain, Easter means eggs, and lots of them. The shelves fill up weeks ahead, and Freddo has held his spot among them for years: the frog that half the country associates with being about nine and having exactly enough change.

People in Canada go looking for this one for a simple reason. They want their own kids to have the Easter they had, down to the face on the box. Freddo is a very particular memory, and a very particular frog. Any old egg does not quite cover it.

It is a medium egg, 122g, which makes it a good size for a basket, a hunt round the garden or the one that gets handed over first thing on Sunday. Keep it somewhere cool and dry, away from radiators and sunny windowsills, and it will sit in the cupboard happily until the day. Hiding it from the person it is for is your problem.

It tends to travel with company. People often pick up a few more Cadbury bits at the same time, a Dairy Milk bar for the grown-ups, say, because nobody hands out eggs all morning without wanting one themselves.
