Sharwood's Hot Curry Powder - 102g

Curry powder has been a cupboard staple in British homes for generations, and Sharwood's is the name a lot of people grew up seeing on the shelf. It sits in that very British tradition of the home-made curry: quick, a bit improvised, and nearly always better the next day.

People in Canada search for it because the flavour is the one they know. You can follow a recipe to the letter, but if the spice is different, so is the dinner. This is the one that tastes like your mum's version, or your flatmate's, or the one you made at university with whatever was in the fridge.

It is a dry powder, so it keeps happily in the cupboard with the lid on tight, ready when the mood strikes. Fry it off with onions to wake it up, then build from there. A little goes a long way, and the hot version means it.

Sharwood's is known for its curry sauces, chutneys and poppadoms, and plenty of people put together a whole curry night from the range. A jar of mango chutney next to this is never a bad idea.
