If you grew up with a crisp aisle the length of a bus, you know the seasonal flavours are half the fun. They turn up, they vanish in January, and you spend the rest of the year talking about them. Finding one in Canada is the sort of thing you text your sister about.

The 150g bag is a proper sharing size. Keep it in a cool, dry cupboard, then tip it into a bowl when people arrive, or eat it straight from the bag on the sofa. No judgement at this counter.

It sits well on the Boxing Day table next to a British selection box, a tin of biscuits, some decent cheese and a jar of chutney. As stocking fillers go it is on the large side, which nobody has ever complained about.
