Swizzels Matlow Squashies Naughty & Nice - 120g

Squashies have been on the British newsagent's sweet shelf for years: the soft, bouncy ones that sit somewhere between a jelly and a foam sweet, and that you squash between your fingers before eating, because that is the law.

People in Canada go looking for them when Christmas gets close and the stocking feels a bit too Canadian. The Christmas tree is up, the crackers are sorted, and something small from the newsagent at home is the bit still missing.

This one is a 120g bag, enough to share if you are feeling generous, or enough to tip into a bowl on the coffee table and pretend you are sharing. Keep it somewhere cool and dry until the stockings come down from the mantelpiece.

Swizzels are the New Mills factory behind Love Hearts, Drumstick lollies, Refreshers and Parma Violets, so a bag of these sits very happily alongside the rest of a UK selection box, a tube of Love Hearts or anything else that belongs in a stocking.
