This is the 650g M&S Scottish All Butter Shortbread Assortment Tin, imported from the United Kingdom and available here in Canada without waiting on a suitcase or a slow transatlantic parcel.

The tin format is part of the point. This is not a sleeve of biscuits you finish in one go on the sofa. It is an assortment, presented properly, in the kind of tin that gets kept long after the shortbread is gone. At 650g, there is enough here to share, to bring somewhere, or to work through quietly over several cups of tea without feeling any particular guilt about it.

M&S shortbread has a very specific reputation among people who grew up in Britain, and it tends to hold up. For British expats in Canada, The Great British Shop stocks it precisely because it is the version people actually mean when they say they want shortbread. Not a rough approximation. The real thing, made in the UK, in a tin.

Scottish shortbread at this level is about butter, texture, and restraint. The assortment format means a variety of shapes and sizes within the tin, which is part of why it works as well for a gift as it does for keeping on the kitchen counter. It is a Marks and Spencer product through and through, which carries its own weight for anyone who knows the brand.

Shop more M&S in Canada or browse the full range of British biscuits available to order online across Canada.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0520/2152/6714/files/marks-and-spencer-scottish-all-butter-shortbread-assortment-tin-650g.webp?v=1793546710
https://www.thegreatbritishshop.ca/products/marks-and-spencer-scottish-all-butter-shortbread-assortment-tin-650g
